Thanks so much for your thoughts! I think that is actually totally fair, I did some research and couldn’t find an answer if glasses count or not, but given they are medically aid, that’s why people probably didn’t mention them specifically. I felt like they have such an impact on my outfit that I have to count them in. I’m curious, which glasses did you go for? And what’s on your list for this year?

I went for thin gold frames from Ace & Tate (the Neil Small). They’re really different from my old style so it feels like a very new look! I love the frames that you chose, they look great. I guess the ‘5 things’ is meant to be a guideline and a lot of it is a personal choice & just trying to think more about what you’re consuming. I have a Jacquemus Le Bob Artichaut hat in black on my list for the summer, but I should easily be able to get that second hand. I also want to get some new jeans later in the year, maybe Studio Nicholson as I have their Dordoni trousers and I love them.

And I’m really enjoying your newsletter, it’s definitely helping me think more about enjoying fashion without buying.

I found this really interesting as a long time glasses wearer who is also trying to only buy 5 things this year and recently bought new glasses. I haven’t counted them as one of my 5 things because I feel like they’re a medical aid, even though I obviously put a lot of thought into how they look.
