‘Things I rewore’ is a series turning habit: I intentionally bring back older clothes from my wardrobe into my daily fits. Paying attention to when they were purchased, I style my reworns in a way that feels now to avoid buying more.
Arthur’s painter’s jacket, white tee, black trousers

Story behind the look: we all know that The Row love to reference artists in their collections. Wherever we enter their world, may it be through the visuals on instagram, their book, the monthly playlists or the holy stores, everything is quoting famous painters, savoir vivre, beauty, refined taste.

I took to my very own artist and I don’t know how we ended up there, but the other day Arthur and I discussed his wardrobes, the good and the things to let go (my recent Vinted clean-out might have been an inspiration). Something reminded me of a blue jacket of his, bought vintage circa 2018. And then it hit me: it’s the original Jolene!
That jacket is an item easily overlooked, or associated exclusively with Bill Cunningham, maybe the first creative to bring it to the fashion biz (sorry Harry Styles), all the time. Yet this soft shade of blue might be the most quiet of all luxury, such a stunning way to add some colour, flattering to any skin tone.
Anyway, I was rushing to Arthur’s closet with a newfound appreciation for this item, suddenly so very The Row: his perfect painter’s jacket. for a warm day flip flops or strappy sandals are lovely with this, a delicate but casual shoe to contrast the literal workwear aesthetic. I love the sleek look of the GEORGIA JAY Flo bag against this, the Litkovska necklace could be too much, but I think I take it! I’m afraid I will keep this jacket until further notice.
I have to admit, at first I didn’t get the appeal of these very toned down outfits within the SS25 The Row lookbook. But at closer viewing, sloppy never got away this elegant. Plus the hair! Great for a lazy Sunday or after beach treat. I’d go for black trousers instead, but as you see, Jolene fits:
Now my friends, around 1700 € are a little too bold for my taste or wallet. We can put in a little effort and really lean into the vibe, going vintage instead: Etsy has a really great selection of french blue workwear jackets:
And then.. I wore this the entire week. Literally every single day. When it’s just studio - day care - playground - home rotations, I find it incredibly soothing to fall back onto an easy formula. I switched shirts, I wore black workout tights and as the sun came back I threw on some flip flops. But it remained jacket + white shirt + black trousers. Taking no shame in heavy outfit repetition!
However my favourite shoes to go in the mix would be these:

Things I did buy this week
Instagram is a slow burn these days; posts hardly get any reach. Which is killer for small brands. But somehow, this post hit just the right person: me.
I always fall for people wearing things well! Since I’m now obsessed with slightly more artisanal necklaces and always believe in supporting the emerging labels, this is perfect. I messaged Gabriella immediately and realized we had been in touch before about a pair of earrings – 7 years ago! Full circle moment.
I got the necklace, in fact the last one. And it’s my 12th piece already! But that’s an article for another day. I’m going away for a bit, so the necklace will only be with me in 2 weeks, but I can’t wait to wear it with, well, everything! Especially that blue jacket. As always, you’ll be the firsts to see, xoxo
