‘Things I rewore’ is a series turning habit: I intentionally bring back older clothes from my wardrobe into my daily fits. Paying attention to when they were purchased, I style my reworns in a way that feels now to avoid buying more.
Hi dear TIDBTW, I hope you are really well. Welcome to a super quick round of things I rewore this week. The trouble is, I’m such a basic dresser. Because truly, when I love something, I wear it all the time. Every day. As the beginning of this week brought some cold air, rain and a very tight work schedule, it was an endless repetition of that one bag (it makes me happy!) and a variation of rain jackets.
So to challenge myself more, next week instead of just rewearing things for days, I will also try to remix my wardrobe a little more. Taking
as my inspiration here, don’t miss her guest interview! But for now, here are some honest reworns in a week that was half work half playdates. Hope you enjoy!Adidas satin tracksuit pants & CAES alpaka wool knit

Story behind the look: I could pretend I was wearing a blazer, but I was not; Monday (and basically the whole week) was all about comfort. I’ve been sitting at my desk a lot, so the general idea was to stay warm. I ran some errands in the early morning and I picked up my kid later that afternoon and with this, I didn’t need to change: the Adidas tracksuit pants (found some with a loose fit here on vinted) came to me in 2017. They are satin and therefore look like silk on a good day, which will let you get away with a lot of things. I love pairing them with a white shirt or a blazer to dress them up a bit.
The CAES sweater (swearing on this one too) was a very kind gift by the brand in 2022 and is incredibly warm. I sometimes feel like the grey doesn’t suit me enough but recently understood that a black t-shirt (showing at the neck underneath) balances it really well. My friend
gave me this cute bag charm from Dinosaur Design on the last weekend and as I’m trying to add some interesting details, I’m giving it a go!Neon wind jacket and navy blue

Story behind the look: Being lazy, tired and trying to max out my laptop time, layering different tops throughout the week has been my go-to repetition. I do like it!! Especially when it comes to black & navy – this Arket tshirt from 2019 pairs so well with a black longsleeve. Threw in the neon jacket for some subtle friction, it works for me.
Summer whites on the playground

I still enter playgrounds somewhat idealistic, bringing my best summer whites along. By the end of the public holiday this week I could tell by the spots on my Baserange trousers where we had been at what time of the day. We are still trying to soak the ketchup out, let’s hope for the best (this is becoming a general theme here).
As I refuse to be practical in this regard, this is how I actually sit in the sand, the wind jacket being the most obvious choice. Underneath I’m wearing last week’s layers of black longsleeve (2020) and grey t-shirt (2023) and they were needed!
AVENIR premium hemp denim set

Story behind the look: The AVENIR denim suit that I fell for last winter enters it’s prime time: I wore this twice, to the studio and an doctor’s appointment and then again later in the week to co-work at Soho House and just see some friendly faces. Full disclosure: the morning was so hectic that I didn’t even shower and it was pouring with rain, so glamorous was not on the agenda. Yet this set still manages to make me feel sorted and well dressed. For a little extra grace (and to literally be above water) I added my beloved Aeyde boots. I wear them since 2019 and they kindly repaired them for me after a particularly harsh and grainy winter. Gotta love a little cowboy vibe!

Nike tights and Richert Beil oversized linen shirt from 1964

Story behind the look: I kept thinking about this shirt the whole week and today (Saturday) I finally got it out: After we collaborated for their runway show in a laundry center in 2020, the designers of Richert Beil generously gifted me a one-of-a-kind shirt from their collection. Made from Swedish linen from 1964, this shirt has a very special soft touch to it. I haven’t worn it in a while – and believe it or not, after today’s stroll / playground session it does need a wash. But I was immediately so drawn to the fit and design again, it holds itself perfectly. I loved pairing it with my favourite Nike tights that I got in 2015 to balance the oversize fit and seriousness and ballet flats to break the tights’ sports character. Felt very me today, maybe the first time all week. Will definitely bring this back more!!
I also went back to the lovely Zodiaque Studios boutique to visit their founder Emily – and I left with a very sweet little gift. It has been on my wishlist since last summer and I can’t wait to show you! (It’s not what you think it is)
Things I didn’t buy this week
I jokingly signed up to be notified when the Tibi x LL Bean tote would be back in stock (we all know I can’t wear that woven leather bag every day forever). As it’s a limited edition I thought this might never happen – and was very surprised to get an email telling me otherwise – only to find it was sold out again. Do I need a 500 dollar white tote bag that’s being held by a contrasting belt for no logical reason? Probably not. Would it be very very fun? I surely believe so. Talk again next weekend! Xx

Things I didn’t buy this week: 1
Tibi x LL Bean tote bag, 475 dollars
Things I did get gifted this week: 2
Dinosaur Designs bag charm, $80.00 AUD (how deeply unromantic of me to protocol the costs of everything I receive now, my apologies!)
ZODIAQUE STUDIOS ?? (will show you soon <3)
Adore the balance of sports pieces with repeatable black leather and casual layers, 10/10 chic as hellll
Also thanks for the shoutout! I love knowing we influence each other across the world xxxx
