‘Things I rewore’ is a series turning habit: I intentionally bring back older clothes from my wardrobe into my daily fits. Paying attention to when they were purchased, I style my reworns in a way that feels now to avoid buying more.
I’m not a summer body, dear TIDBTW, so the last week at 40 degrees was tough on me. While going about business with Berlin Fashion Week, I noticed that despite the heat, many guests still took to their usual uniform, often big on the layering. I loved seeing that people wore what made them feel safe, no matter the sweat.
For me, whenever there is a high pressure work event, I keep it very simple. I used to dress up for fashion week, only to feel kind of disconnected. Now I stay with the essentials that I feel really great in and wear them on repeat. Nobody sees that you rotate the same outfits, everyone worries about their own look.
So my mantra was to rely heavily on black and white and then to hold on to “Calvin Klein” and the 1990s to 2000s. Comfort over cool. Let’s see how that went xx
Flore Flore tee, vintage Orsay skirt, Baserange trousers, GLundgren Necklace
Story behind the look: The wisest action I could take was to get a haircut right on Monday. Not only did the styling last for ages, it just made me feel good and putting outfits together was so much easier. The second smart thing was to buy that last shell necklace by GLundgren before going away on our family holiday. It now arrived in the most beautiful packaging, proving to be timelessly elegant.
After unwrapping, I immediately wore it over my new Flore Flore shirt. It’s unlike any normal tank top, that can easily wear off a tad too casual. This is more like a t-shirt without the sleeves. I’ve been contemplating buying something from Flore Flore for three years, but never tried anything on, so I wasn’t sure about the fit. But since I got the Esmé top (wearing a size S), I wear it all the time. It’s the quality, the design, the softness.
For day 1 at BFW, I paired it with my white Baserange trousers and one of my most vintage items: a skirt that I got at Orsay in my hometown when I was 14, in 1999. I don’t know why I kept it all these years, because I never wore it back then. But I’m so glad I did and that I get to enjoy it now. I just love skirt-over-trousers moment!
The Aeyde heels are honestly my only high sandals and they are so simple, they go with everything. Plus the heel is comfy (ask me again later this week). This whole look felt very simply yet a little extra and the sleek hair pulls it all together. While it’s easy to feel pressured to go fancy for those special occasions, I felt like myself.

Vintage men’s shirt, Baserange trousers, black sandals

Story behind the look: three years ago I organized a charity pop up for Ukrainian fashion and met designer Anna Honcharova, founder of the brand TRIP:TYCH, who is creating jewelry and aromas, now based in London.
When she enters the room you immediately feel her incredible fairy aura and sense of style. We hardly had time to chat on those days, but as we said goodbye she gifted me her poppy scented lotion and bodywash (I love it). I remember she wore baggy denim and a cut off shirt and as I got home, tired and exhausted, I went straight on to get the scissors and one of Athur’s shirts (with his consent). I aim to take on her spirit and energy whenever I wear it and it never let’s me down.
Zodiaque Studios top, Reyèm wide leg trousers, Johanna Gauder choker

Story behind the look: this was a quick change in the evening right after my white outfit above got snapped for the streetstyle coverage on Vogue.com (I’m definitely the most basic in there, but it made me so happy!) and before I went to see the show by Balletshofer.
At first I felt like the necklace might be a bit too formal, too elegant, too operasque, but that ended up being my vibe for the night. The Zodiaque Studios top just kind of zips up your whole posture while adding something really feminine and I want to embrace that more.
White baby tee, Baserange trousers, protein smoothie

Story behind the look: this is me on my way to my studio, preparing for the day ahead. The baby tee by Zodiaque is already such a favourite and as you know I love an all-white look. I watched one too many ‘how to wear your shirt as a skirt’-videos and this is where it landed me; I wanted to wear something fun, although it turned out rather funny.
A bathing suit and a DIY belt

Story behind the look: before stepping out like this I changed outfits 5 or 6 times. I thrive at 22 degrees, but between 37 and 40 degrees I better be in France and by the pool. So I took the pool to BFW and wore my bathing suit under my trousers. Why invest in a nice swim piece if you only wear it 3 weeks max a year?
To elevate the whole look further and make it more intentional, I spontaneously made a belt out of two silver necklaces and the gem stone, a recent fleamarket find. I usually fail at these DIY projects, but this magically flowed. The belt received a lot of love so I might bring it back for an actual beach / pool day!
White baby tee, wide black trousers and statement necklace

Story behind the look: the next morning I woke up totally destroyed, partially dehydrated, but mostly with a heavy migraine. Ahead of me: one last fashion week brunch and my friend basically ready to go, so I somehow managed to get up. My trusted combination on a day like that are always good comfy trousers and a shirt you love. Threw on Arthur’s jacket against the sudden shiver and my new necklace that adds a little something. The biggest yet conversation friendly sunnies I own. I was exhausted, but the fit worked.
White baby tee, Baserange trousers, black Georgia Jay Flo bag

Story behind the look: as I reached the absolute end of my fashion game (and week), I went back to the core of my most reliable and basic combinations. It’s all about the texture, feel and quality. Again, what I love about wearing something monochrome is that it looks neat enough to get away with the bare minimum of sleep and makeup. The Havaianas have the square tip that makes them just slightly more elegant and that was all the effort I could give on this day.

Things I did buy this week (month)
Let’s just say this is not my most convincing week in terms of reworns, with many new things making a first, second and third appearance (looking at you, gorgeous Reyèm trousers). I discovered last year, summer really is my weak spot as it offers a severe lack of suitable tops, shirts and lights trousers. Most of what I wear daily has been around since 2016 - 2021, so a little shameless* update was needed, reinvesting my recent vinted sale funds:
Flore Flore Esmé shirt in black, 85,00 Euros: absolutely worth the investment. Slightly thicker, just incredibly nice quality. I wanted a top that is not the usual sloughy tank, but more structured and polished. This will last me for years. (#13 in 2025)
Reyèm wide leg trousers in black 199,00 Euros (designed by
, follow her to see how she combines her own brand with incredible vintage and fun finds): If you buy one pair of trousers this summer (and for future summers), let them be these. Recycled Italian stretch fabric, and I wear it as much as I physically can. Love, love, love (#14)Havaianas (slim, square) in black, 30,00 Euros (#15): mine broke last year after 4 years of wear and tear. I debated long enough, but for me they are the best out there, on the sweet spot between sloppy and a chic sandal.
Arket bathingsuit in black 59,00 Euros (#16): this one is particularly annoying, as I had and loved the exact same one, it even had a slightly better fit. Bought it in 2020 and lost it last year at a wedding in Wales.
I’m planning to wear it exactly like this again, with my vintage skirt and Byredo bag (purchased in 2017):
Whatever you are rewearing this week, I hope you have a happy one. Talk soon! xx
*more on that in the upcoming weeks
So happy you wear my necklace! Looks fabulous on you xx
