When I got up this morning at 5:40, dear TIDBTW readers, I was thinking of you. Because despite the nonchalant end of my night, brought by my very awake baby, I was excited to show you another volume of runway looks, that you probably – one way or another – already have in your closet. This week we deal with something a little more wearable than the moody Balenciaga layers, something a little more everyday. Like The Row! As the hyper luxury fashion house is proposing reduced looks with gagging price tags, we should be able to achieve a similar idea with a little bit of refinery and good will. Because your current clothes are worth it! You’ve got this.
1. A chance of ocean breeze
Before said endeavour towards The Row, let’s have one more look at what seems to be my favorite collection at the moment, TIBI Spring 2023. Wearing this hint of a shirt paired with a creamy silk skirt, must feel like a constant fresh shower. It’s so clean, it’s almost annoying:

The blazer, we’re thinking, could fall of any second, but it’s not!!! Oh, the power of tailoring. I also love the maroon tights and sandal duo and the lack of make-up and because the latter matches my out-of-bed lifestyle, I had to give it a go:
Well, well, well - if only I had some maroon tights! Who knew they were needed? (Actually, could have been me, if I had seen Tibi Spring 23 when it came out…) But starting from the beginning: The base here is a top and wrap skirt by The Open Product which I bought two years ago, but never really wore. Compared to TIBI this soft set almost seems sturdy and somehow it always felt too tight or too see-through. Which is exactly why I will go for it, this summer.
Top + skirt come along with a LITKOVSKA blazer, featuring the same possibility to shed one sleeve. How convenient! Will definitely test and try this in action, but I can already say it requires some confidence. Or rather core strength.
Speaking of Ukrainian fashion, I added my LITKOVSKA bag, which I adore very much but I think never made it to the market. And because everyone is tying random stuff around their handbags right now, I did the same, starting with my key chain. Boots are Vagabond from 2022, jewelry as throughout is JOHANNA GAUDER and mini ear cuff from HUMAN A.P.J.
RATING: 8/10 Yes, I can see this working. Not as satisfied by the shoe situation; it will require a more delicate one. To be continued! (Possibly with these very cool preloved pumps, also The Open Product)
2. A very good very chic idea (The Row 1)
So every other week The Row sends me these emails and every other week I click and browse and dream, but most importantly I find their newsletter, lookbooks and styling really handy! Making this my moodboard. One could argue, not much is happening here, but that’s exactly the point. Have a few really strong pieces and make them look nice:

This seemed too good to be true, but somehow it is working. Feeling at ease, calm, expensive: wearing my 5 euro grey fleamarket blazer (mens 48, forever my favorite steal) and then this kind of oddly but fun upcycled shirt from around the corner (Berlin), it’s missing its collar (I don’t).
Worn with a little cameo by my son, woolen COS trousers and some shoes from the garden center (think clogs). And then I remembered this beautiful JÉROME STUDIO bag from 2020, it’s pretty heavy but also very resistant (we were once in a bike accident together, the bag was fine). I think I will definitely bring it back to my wardrobe rotation asap <3 The sunnies were bought at a gas station a couple of years ago and ever since someone asked me if they were vintage Prada, I feel like they are.
RATING: 9,5/10 Actually ja, this feels really nice! So very excited to have met this bag again.
3. Just when you think you are done, put a scarf on it! (The Row 2)
Last one for today, but another pretty good one in my opinion: this The Row look makes me want to wear long necklaces with round gems for the first time ever and that means something:

Instead I am going for a gift from LITKOVSKA, the handcrafted Motanka necklace, a talisman for those who wear it and hopefully for those who made it.
Woolen COS trouser and LITKOVSKA blazer as before. The T-Shirt is a HUND HUND one from circa 2016, which is still very soft and has pretty long sleeves, for anyone who prefers that. And then around my waist I tied a silk scarf by NOVE (the label has sadly closed down) to create a similar volume. Feels good! Will repeat.
RATING: 10/10 Walking out like this some time very soon!
Ok, your turn now. Go have a look at your closet if you find some designer look you didn’t know you owned. Anything in there that deserves more love? If you do, please let me know. I’d love to hear from you, xoxo.
